Thaddeus R. Hammond, Jr. “Honey”, 85, of Martinsburg, passed away on May 6, 2020 at UPMC Altoona. He was born on February 10, 1935 in Patton; son of the late Thaddeus R. Sr. and Enna (Ross) Hammond. Thaddeus was first married to Patsy Sue (Franklin) Hammond until her passing. On May 14, 1988 at the St. Augustine Church in Dysart, he was united in marriage to Nancy (Hartman) Hammond who survives. Thaddeus served his country in the United States Army and Army Reserves; stationed at Fort Knox. He was a member of the St. Augustine Church in Dysart and was a log sawyer by trade. He retired in 1998 from the envelope factory, MeadWestvaco, in Williamsburg. Thaddeus enjoyed woodworking, square dancing, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was preceded in death by his first wife Patsy; brothers John, Charles, David, James, and Timothy Hammond; as well as a sister Shirley. Surviving are his wife Nancy; son Jim Hammond of San Antonio, Texas; step-son Scott Hartman of Duncansville; step-daughter Billie Jo Neicamp of Duncansville; as well as grandchildren Kelsey and Dylan Hartman and Bradley and Taylor Neicamp. Due to recent COVID-19 regulations and restrictions, funeral services will be held privately. Interment will be in the St. Augustine Church Cemetery.
