Martha “Jean” Laughlin, 84, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of New Enterprise, passed away on July 28, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 10, 1935 in New Enterprise; daughter of the late Joe and Melda (Ebersole) Clapper. Jean married David R. Laughlin on April 2, 1955 in Salemville, PA; he preceded her in death on November 4, 2006. She was a member of the Everett Seventh Day Adventist Church and was employed at as an office worker at Nason Hospital for 32 years. Jean was Class of 1953 Graduate of Replogle High School and enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed having coffee with friends at the Donut Connection. She is survived by three daughters; Lucinda Brennan and husband Willis of Loysburg, Karen Kaczmarek and husband John of Hollidaysburg, and Tonya Laughlin of Nashville, TN. Also surviving are sister Leanna Calhoun and husband Leo of New Enterprise; brother Donald Clapper and wife Nancy of Tampa, FL; as well as 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to COVID-19 regulations and restrictions, there will be a private family service. Interment will be in Salemville Cemetery.
