Dorothy Ann Replogle, 89, from Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of New Enterprise, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on December 12, 2020. She was born on January 2, 1931 in New Enterprise; daughter of the late Chalmer and Ella Fae (Brumbaugh) Grubb. On January 27, 1951 at the United Methodist Parsonage in Martinsburg, she was united in marriage to Donald B. Replogle, her high school sweetheart. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2020, just eight short months prior. Dot was a Replogle High School Class of 1949 graduate and a lifetime member of the Loysburg United Methodist Church. Dot’s family was her pride and joy, she would light up when she would see them and was quick to make them the center of attention. Dot suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and although it robbed her of most of her golden years, Dot never lost her ability to pray and thank God for her family and the children in it. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, square dancing, playing the piano and organ, attending church, any musical entertainment, and attending plays at Old Bedford Village. She was a hardworking and dedicated dairy farmer all of her life, owning Three Spring Run Farm along with her husband. She drove a school bus for many years and was active with the Pennsylvania Farmer’s Association. Dot was well known for welcoming people into her home with a smile and offering a cup of hot tea. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband Donald; a great-granddaughter Milly Jean Replogle; and siblings Nancy Wilson, Flora Mae Gamble, Dick Grubb, and Joe Grubb. Surviving are son Steve Replogle and wife Cindy of New Enterprise; son Dennis Replogle and wife Sandy of Hopewell Twp.; son Allen Replogle and wife Angie of New Enterprise; grandchildren Mandi Cottle (Steve), Casey Salyards (Adam), Nathaniel Replogle (Laura), Ethan Replogle (Amanda), Mason Replogle, Carter Replogle, and Aiden Replogle; great-grandchildren Riley, Logan, and Braden Cottle; Lucy Salyards; and Aria and Gannon Replogle; and siblings Ray Grubb, Margie Sovercool, John Gamble, Mary Ruth McClain, and Tom Gamble. Due to COVID-19 regulations and restrictions services will be held privately. Interment will be in Baker-Replogle Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Dot’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter (2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110).
