David Burkholder Shirk, 66, of Curryville, passed away on November 12, 2020 at home. He was born on December 22, 1953 in Lancaster; son of the late Roy S. and Ida Ann (Burkholder) Shirk. On November 14, 1970 in Hinkletown, PA; he was united in marriage to Geraldine (Sensenig) Shirk who survives. David was a member of the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church and retired from Barkman Oil Company. He enjoyed John Deere Tractors, John Wayne Westerns, and spending time with his family. David was preceded in death by a grandson Cole William Shirk and brothers Allen, LeRoy, and Noah Shirk. Surviving are his wife Geraldine; son Scott Shirk (Molly) of Loysburg; daughter Doris Albright (Wes) of Curryville; son LeRoy Shirk (Marcia) of East Freedom; son Shawn Shirk (Megan) of Duncansville; son Clarence W. Shirk (Cori) of Roaring Spring; daughter Rachel Nunamaker (Jason) of Roaring Spring; grandchildren Drew Albright, Emma Shirk, Levi Shirk, Marcus Shirk, Katie Nunamaker, Ryan Nunamaker, and Everly Shirk; and siblings Annie Hoover, Suetta Zimmerman, Lizzie Shirk, and Joseph Shirk. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic services will be held privately. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery.
