George Wayne Miller “Mose”, 90, of Woodbury, passed away on August 16, 2019 at Homewood in Martinsburg. He was born on November 29, 1928, in Woodbury, son of the late Brice R. Miller and Dorothy (Ritter) Miller-Bechtel. On May 1st, Wayne and his wife Nancy M. (Smith) celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Mose was the Co-Owner of Miller Auto Company in Woodbury. He was a member of the Cove Lions Club, EAA Chapter 400, and was involved with JAARS Association. Mose was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren where he enjoyed participating in Mission Trips and helping with Camp Blue Diamond. Wayne served his country in the Army as an Arms Instructor. While in the service, he was stationed at Ft. Gordon in Georgia and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was preceded in death by brothers Jake and Gene Miller. Surviving are his wife Nancy; daughter Rebecca L. Smith (Donald) of Woodbury; grandson Nick Smith (Cody); granddaughter Megan Ritchey (Ben); great-grandchildren Tristan and Peyton Ritchey; sister Beverly Ritchey; and brother Dwight Miller. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 10:00AM at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren; Pastor David Ulm will be officiating. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
